Blogger Reviews – Free Promotion for Your Product

Do you have a product or service you want to promote, but can’t afford expensive advertising? Are you interested in getting the word out on the internet but don’t have time to sit on Facebook and Twitter networking all day? Try this technique -blogger outreach. You are going to leverage the blogosphere to market and promote your product.

You have probably seen blogs with product reviews. When a blogger reviews your product, she is exposing you and your product or service to her readers. The trick is to choose blogs that are already talking to your audience.

1) Visit Google Blogsearch, Blog Catalog, Techorati, and Twitter and search for blogs that talk about your topic. Let’s say your product is natural homemade soap. You won’t want to target other soap makers, because those are your competitors. You want to target blogs that discuss natural health and beauty products, non-toxic beauty products, chemical-free skin care, sensitive skin care, or environmentally conscious products.

2) Look for blogs with lots of traffic. To determine how much traffic a blog gets, look for the SiteMeter widget and click on it. Or, look for the Feedburner widget that says how many readers the blog has. You also want to look for blogs with lots of comments on the posts, which is an indicator of the blog’s popularity with its readers.

3) Contact the blogger and ask if she will do a product review. If she agrees, you will need to send her the actual product so she can use it and form her opinion.

4) Understand that she doesn’t have to like your product. She is going to give it an honest review.

5) When the blogger reviews your product, she should provide a link back to your site so that customers can buy it.

Maximizing Commission Junction Earnings

Are you participating in the Commission Junction affiliate program? CJ is the leader in affiliate marketing and offers thousands of products and services that you can promote on your website or blog. You are paid a commission when a customer buys something, signs up for something, or clicks on something. Each advertiser pays out differently. Here is a tip for how to maximize your earnings on CJ.

Summary:

1) Choose products and services that pay for leads rather than sales. It is much easier to send an advertiser a lead than to make a sale. Get paid for the referral, and let the advertiser do the work to get the sale.

2) Make sure the products and services you choose relate to the topic or content of your site.

3) $15-$50 may seem like a lot to be paid for sending an advertiser a lead. Remember that these big companies are looking for long term relationships with customers. For example, if you send Vonage a customer, they may pay you $20 per lead. But, if that customer stays with Vonage for 5 years paying $24.99 a month for the service, Vonage will receive almost $1,500 in revenue over the life of that customer’s relationship. The $20 that Vonage (and other large companies) pay you for access to this customer is just a drop in the bucket.

Make Money on eHow Series – Part 2

Welcome to the second installment of my eHow series. Today, I am going to show you how to incorporate affiliate links into your eHow articles. When you are writing your articles, the eHow system does not convert URLs (website addresses) to clickable hyperlinks where the steps are written. Here is how to get those affiliate links in there:

Summary:
1) Choose high paying keywords for your articles.

2) As the last step, refer the reader to the resources section. They may not even know it is there.

3) Choose affiliate products or links that correspond with the subject matter of your article. You may need to take some time to go find one that will work, and then add it to your article.

4) Enter the URL of the affiliate product, your blog, website, or whatever you are promoting. Then type out the text in the box next to it.

Information products can be a very lucrative product to sell. How do I know? Because I write and sell my own. (Click here for my eBooks.) But what if you aren’t so great at writing and want to enjoy the benefits of selling information products? Become an affiliate selling popular information products written by other people.

Your next question is, “How do I know which ones to sell? What topics sell best?” I am going to give you a list! Research shows that people will buy information products to help them solve a problem. Maybe they want to know how to do something. Maybe they want to make money. Maybe they want to feel better.

How to make more money
How to look younger, more beautiful, thinner
How to stay healthy, feel better
How to get well (recover from surgery or an illness)

How to work at home (make money at home, be your own boss)
Hot to find romance or a mate

Can you see a trend here? Most of these topics have to do with vanity or money. Stick to those topics and you will do well. Go to Clickbank or e-Junkie to find thousands of information products that you can promote and get paid to sell. You don’t have to have a blog to sell these – you can promote them on Twitter, Facebook, through email, or on your groups and forums.
